December 2007
My dear Salesian Benefactor,
It’s CHRISTMAS once again.
The malls are getting congested. Traffic snarled. Tiangges are all
over. Department stores crowded. Sale galore.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Gift-giving is the order of the day. One of the
preoccupations of everyone is “what gift” to give to family and
friends. People are making lists. Buying special gifts for
someone special. We feel sort of obligated to give “kahit na ano, kahit na papaano”.
Pasko eh.
The question is: “Paano
naman si Kristo? Ano ang kanyang regalo?” Christmas is all about CHRIST.
He is the reason of the season. What gift can we give Jesus this Christmas?
While it is
wonderful to exchange gifts with each other – even gifts we don’t need
and will never use, let us not forget there are so many in our midst who have so little and will never have any.
Let it not be said that “there was no
room for the poor in our home and in our heart.” All that is worth cherishing begins with the
heart – not in the head.
Christmas reminds us there is no limit, no measure,
no end to Jesus’ love. He had a BIG HEART for the poor. What you do to the poor – you do to Him. If you feel you have been
BLESSED this year… be a BLESSING. Share with those who do not have – and not
with those who already have. Give a gift – help the poor
in “Jesus’ name” this Christmas. HAVE A HEART! Keep the HELP coming!
May your CHRISTMAS be truly BLESSED with the
presence of Jesus in your heart and most especially in your home.
Remembering you during this season of Christmas, I remain
Ever
grateful,

P.S. For all
its worth, we are truly grateful for your continued support to the
SALESIAN MISSIONS. If we could be of any
help to you in whatever way – feel free to let us know. We will much oblige. GBU.
